Professor Yao Chen Visited the school
 

    Professor Yao Chen from Nankai University visited Tianjin University and LIMB on April 18th, 2023 and gave an academic report on "Crystalline immobilized biological (enzyme) preparations" for faculty and students of the Department of Biochemical Engineering. Professor Yan Sun presided over the report meeting. Immobilization technology is an effective way and key link to promote the industrial application of biological macromolecules such as enzymes. And carrier innovation and performance improvement depend on material innovation and rational design. Professor Chen and her team have created a high-performance immobilization platform based on crystalline porous materials, starting from the two aspects of "constructing adaptive confined spaces" and "creating immobilization strategies". This platform achieves precise and efficient controllable loading and protection of enzymes and other biological macromolecules in a rationally designed confined space, and creates a series of functional enzyme and biological agents with excellent performance.
